Marosa Healing Center is a family-led integrative plant healing village in Iquitos, Peru, rooted in the Shipibo tradition and owned by Maestra Angela Sanchez Rios — one of the most respected plant medicine practitioners in Iquitos, with over 25 years of experience. Her warmth, laughter, and genuine maternal care for each guest are consistently described as central to the experience.
What distinguishes Marosa is its philosophy of investing in exceptional healers rather than luxury amenities — true master practitioners with decades of experience guiding each process with care and precision. Groups are kept small (maximum 14 guests including students), and retreats can be customized week-to-week based on individual intentions, from short stays to multi-week or multi-month commitments.
Guests have access to the full breadth of Amazonian plant healing, including plant vapor baths, plant tonics, and personalized master plant diets for those ready for deeper work.
